Double Standards in Louisiana. A "presidential" Donald Trump visits flood-ravaged Baton Rouge, unloads relief supplies and comforts the displaced. Meanwhile, many miles away on Martha's Vineyard, Hillary Clinton attends a lavish birthday party and President Obama plays yet another round of golf. Unbelievably Bad Optics for Democrats. We measure contrasting media-manufactured "narratives" vis-a-vis Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the current natural disaster in Baton Rouge. We sample 2007 audio clips wherein both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama assail former President George W. Bush for his high-altitude handling of Katrina. In light of Hillary & Obama's present absenteeism, we contemplate the depths of their hypocrisy. For historical perspective we survey Douglas Brinkley's scholarly chronicle of Katrina: The Great Deluge. Meanwhile, Trump pulls ahead nationally in the latest LAT/USC polls and Hillary unleashes an absurd "Colin Powell Defense" of her email improprieties. With Listener Calls and Bayou Music via the Kershaw Brothers, Hank Williams, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash and BR5-49.
